The Survivors: In their own words
We present here stories of survival; people who have survived gross human rights violations such as crimes against humanity, torture, war crimes, and genocide. They face each day with courage as they struggle with formidable physical and psychological injuries. But they are here, they will be counted, and they will be heard.
Our first story is the story of Acleo Kalinga, a Rwandan recently freed from torture and captivity in Uganda.
